I started working at Tembo in the Export department in 2012. I very much enjoyed it, particularly the pleasant, informal atmosphere. After a few years, I was ready for a new challenge. It was great that Tembo supported me in this process, and I was able to take on a new position as a Management Assistant at Tembo Paper.

Tembo values the input of its employees

I work in Tembo Paper (machines) and Tembo Paper Straws (production of paper straws); here, I assist the managing directors in the whole business operation, which includes organising visits. Another colleague and I also use our ERP system for processes like purchasing, sales, production, logistics and invoicing. Together, we also handle time registration, company clothing and all facility management.

We are working with a small team to launch a new business. It’s an enthusiastic, dedicated and driven team ­ with a great sense of humour ­ that wants to contribute to a plastic-free world!

For me, working at Tembo means working for an enterprising and international family business that makes new, sustainable products. I love working on a product that will make the planet a more beautiful place.

I think that the freedom to seize opportunities and work out initiatives is the best thing about Tembo. You are assisted and encouraged to work on what you believe in.
