Why do you do an internship at our company?
I came in contact with the company through the Business Fair of the Windesheim (a fair where companies come to find interns). After the fair I contacted the company and it felt right from the first moment. The people are open and friendly and are willing to help you with everything. That is why I choose for Tembo.
What do you like about your internship at Tembo?
What I find attractive about doing an internship at the Controlling department within the Tembogroup B.V. is that the Tembo group has several subsidiary companies in different branches and size. Because of this there are many different activities and you can look at different levels with the numbers.
The contact with my colleagues in the departments is good. I quickly felt at my place within the company. What struck me is that everyone is willing to help you with everything.
What's your experience with our introduction program for interns?
When I started my internship, Tembo had set up an introduction program. This was great! The introduction program included visiting different companies of the group, discussions with the CEO of Tembo, workshops and other fun activities such as a table football tournament etc. Because of the program you quickly got to know the fellow interns, the employees of different departments and the companies within the group.
During this internship period I have been well integrated within the Finance and Controlling departments. I quickly became part of the team and I felt at my place within Tembo. My colleagues gave me a lot of trust and I was able to work independently with all kinds of activities that were taking place within the department. I learned a lot during this internship in business and in a personal way.
