Your role

One of the main goals of the program is to maintain and improve a high-speed market penetration of the Tembo Paper equipment. Helping our world-wide customers and partners to produce paper straws and contribute to more sustainability. This stretches out from development and production of machinery to supporting our customers with advice and support on how to run their paper straw production. You’ll be leading multiple projects for delivery, installation and commissioning of paper straw production lines. This will be done in an international environment, with customers worldwide. It is your responsibility to ensure the projects are successfully completed. After completion you will hand the installed lines over to the care of the global Tembo Group Service team.

As Project Manager Service & Commissioning you are the connecting factor between customer, supplying sister companies and the Tembo Group Service team. You’ll be part of the program team within an organization that is constantly developing.

  • You will ensure the timeline is respected. Customer preparations are done in time, delivery of equipment is on time and installation & commissioning is executed within timeline.
  • You will ensure the correct scope is met. The right utilities, equipment and people are on site. The line is performing within SAT boundaries. And all spares, documentation, and additional equipment is delivered.
  • You will ensure the project stays within budget, have a keen eye for additional work and in coordination with the key account manager know how to sell this to the customer.

Together with the Program Director, you will make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions for the development and the supply chain processes of Tembo Paper. You’ll work with senior stakeholders and build alliances and partnerships with the other business within Tembo Group.

You will successfully manage the projects and lead improvements where required. You will ensure projects are realized according to set boundaries. Managing changes and interventions to ensure results are achieved are part of your responsibilities. Next to that you will execute proper Stakeholder and Risk & Issue management to ensure easy and transparent communication regarding project issues and decisions. In the Program Team you will be responsible for producing and reporting of the project status, risks and mitigation.

Who are you?

We are looking for a pro-active Project Manager that can navigate the project risks in this dynamic, high pace, and no-nonsense organization with a lot of opportunity to further develop this organization.

Do you recognize yourself in the following?

  • You at least have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial Engineering, operations management and/or related field, preferably in an international setting
  • You have proven experience in project management (at least IPMA-C level)
  • You have experience or affinity with the machine building industry
  • You have proven skills regarding stakeholder management and risk and issue management
  • You have proven leadership skills
  • You have a thorough understanding of project management and can translate this knowledge to a pragmatic no-nonsense environment
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting,
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees
  • Excellent communication skills
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English
